NAME: Sara Lafferty
WHAT I DO DURING THE DAY: I usually work two days a week at Standard Style Boutique on the Plaza. I also visit my mom a couple times a week at Sunrise Assisted Living and give her help with bathing and laundry. I exercise pretty much every day, either at Lifetime or outside if it is nice out. My youngest son is a junior at Blue Valley North, and he keeps me very busy! I also have three other children: a son, 21, and two daughters, one in L.A. and one in Denver. My husband and I try to get out once a week and go to one of the great restaurants we have in south Johnson County.
THE CLOTHES I’M WEARING: I am wearing a dress by Shipley & Halmos paired with a fabulous floral Elizabeth & James top. My shoes are by Coclico, and my necklace is by Samantha Wills. The dress top and necklace are all from Standard Style Boutique. My shoes are from Habitat.
I LOVE THIS OUTFIT BECAUSE: I love this outfit because it is easy to throw on and it screams spring. The color of the dress mixed with the floral top is a nice way to mix the latest trends for spring. I can wear this to work or for a night out on the town with my girlfriends.
INSIDE MY CLOSET YOU’LL FIND: Inside my closet you will find lots of denim. That is my true staple. I love Current/Elliot’s boyfriend jean and their skinny. I also love Citizens of Humanity and Sevens. Dresses are another spring essential I have. They are very versatile paired with a leather jacket this time of year. I would say 90 percent of my clothes are from Standard Style Boutique. My shoe finds are almost always from Habitat.
I LOVE SOUTH JOHNSON COUNTY BECAUSE: I love southern Johnson County because it is central to almost anywhere you want to go. We have fabulous restaurants and shopping within minutes. There are so many activities to choose from, especially in the summer: Jazz in the Woods, the Town Center Art Show and Monday night free concerts at Town Center. I think it is a wonderful place to raise a family.
