Where did you grow up? Fredonia, KS….yeah, yeah, you have never heard of it!
Do you have any siblings? If so, how many? No siblings
How would your best friend describe you? Loyal, determined to a fault, fun
What qualities do you look for in a mate? Spontaneous, Energetic, and someone I can picture as my best friend!
Do you have any worst-date experiences? I have been EXTREMELY fortunate in this arena, all things considered…but when I first moved to KC I had a girl pass out on my couch and her parents called the police, as in missing person! I didn’t realize she still lived at home, and this was a long, long time ago, please remember!
Describe what you do for a living. I am a Regional Director for an insurance company based in New York. I recruit sales managers, facilitate professional development, and am involved in most of our corporate level training schools. I cover West region, which takes me all the way from Memphis to Hawaii!
How would you describe your style? I am all across the board. I will try just about anything once. Sometimes I shave, sometimes I don’t….Sometimes I wear a suit, sometimes I go to Target in pj’s!
What do you do for fun? I enjoy dining out, going to new places, both in KC and while traveling for work. I research the cities I am going to visit. I also play softball, golf, and love the Chiefs and Royals.
Who is your celebrity crush? Hate to admit it, but I think Kim Kardashian is amazing!
What’s your favorite food? I absolutely love Chicken Strips! I also love Thai, Mexican, and a good steak occasionally.
What kind of music do you like? I am in a singer/songwriter phase right now, but I always have Willie Nelson, Johny Cash, The Black Keys, Pete Yorn, and Jackopierce handy. I like Kings of Leon as well.
Where do you hang out in Kansas City? I go out all over. Not as much as I used to though!
What’s your favorite drink? No question here, Ketel One and Tonic, 2 limes.
Are you a night owl or a morning person? Definitely a morning person, as much as I wish I wasn’t.
Tell us about a recent trip you took. I go to New York frequently, and had dinner in the meatpacking district with my best friend from college, and went out in Times Square during my last trip. Unfortunately I had to work while there, but made time on the second night to have a steak at Bobby Van’s, and though highly recommended, it doesn’t compare to a steak from the Midwest!
Name a unique trait/talent that people might not know about you. Through much self-teaching, I am fairly proficient at ceramic tile work.
Do you have any pets? Yes, a German Shorthair, and complete lunatic, named Duke.
Describe your most embarrassing moment. When I was in high school, I made the mistake of making it known that I didn’t know what a “birthday suit” was……ouch!
What are three luxuries you can’t live without? I am a watch fanatic, so that is certainly one. I also have a couple pair of my favorite shoes that, as embarrassing as it is, I have bought a duplicate pair of just in case they quit making them. A cold beer at a Chiefs game.
What makes you laugh? I have a dry sense of humor, so I would be more apt to get a chuckle out of an off the wall comment than a good joke any day….
Name your most recent impulse purchase. No comment!
What’s your favorite physical feature (on yourself)? My eyes…and I have extremely long eye-lashes, as in sometimes difficult to wear sunglasses.
What’s your favorite book? I read quite a bit, you can only do so many things on a plane, but I would have to say Lonesome Dove, because it my father’s favorite. I also enjoyed “I hope they serve beer in Hell”, and if any guys have not read this one, it is so disturbing that you will not be able to put it down!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully still in KC, but one never knows. I had an interesting, and sometimes challenging 2009, so you never know what “opportunities” the trail of life has in store for you!
What is your life motto (or favorite quote)?
When you steal an idea from one person, it is plagiarism, when you steal ideas from everyone, it is research. Luck is when opportunity and preparation meet.
Finish this sentence: My first kiss was…underwater in a swimming pool, 3rd grade!
If you could have one person with you on a deserted island, who would it be and why? Now that is a sensitive topic! I’m not going to tell you, but she knows who she is, and will probably read this at some point.
