Dessert Bar at Ingredient Restaurant in Park Place
Simplicity is highly underrated.
That’s the thought that comes to mind when browsing the selection of dessert options at Ingredient in Park Place. You’ll find uncomplicated but savory goodies, including several homemade favorites like the classic peanut butter or chocolate chip cookie ($1.50 apiece), lemon bars — raspberry and traditional — scones and muffins. All feature the fresh ingredients of the day.
Ingredient is a hopping eatery this time of year, where busy shoppers and holiday revelers pop in for quick made-to-order meals. It offers a gourmet, fast-casual atmosphere where diners begin their visit with a pencil and a dizzying checklist of fresh ingredients, as its name would suggest.
And while the restaurant is a great destination for quick and tasty dining, it’s Ingredient’s dessert bar that fills the bill — particularly when you’re in need of an unfussy place to take the chill off after visiting Johnson County’s only outdoor ice rink, located right next door.
A table by the window on the south side is the perfect perch for people-watching and toe-warming, especially when accompanied by a generous cup of steaming hot cocoa and a sweet treat from the dessert bar.
Ingredient’s dessert bar serves to remind that it’s often the simplest treats that are the best.
