“Dinosaurs Unearthed” is the largest and most exciting dinosaur exhibit in the history of Kansas City with 24 full-size animatronic models, five fully-articulated skeletons (some more than 62 feet long), and nearly 40 fossil replicas which include eight feathered fossils from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. This multi-sensory, dynamic and interactive dinosaur exhibition is both entertaining and educational showcasing recent new discoveries, including evidence that many dinosaur species may have been covered in feathers! Open 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Tues. - Sat., Noon - 5:30 p.m. Sun., closed Mon. Admission $13.50 adults, $9.50 kids.

Come by every Wednesday this summer for the freshest ORGANIC produce, baked goods, meat, cut flowers by Flowers by Emily, and garden plants from Rosehill Gardens! Also, bring the kiddies for Rosehill's Children's Gardening Classes and Storytime by Dede from the Learning Tree, beginning at 10 a.m. each Wednesday in the Pavilion. We'll also have regularly scheduled cooking demonstrations by different area chefs, showcasing seasonal organic produce available at our Fresh Market! All food sold at the Fresh Market is 100% local and organic. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free Admission.

Huge Outdoor Happenin' at the Kansas Speedway featuring over 3,000 hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trick trucks thru '72. Shop at hundreds of vendor/exhibitor booths, or take a trip to the Swap Meet for automotive-related parts and cars for sale. Check out the Street Challenge Auto Cross or Cruise the oval in the Track Cruise. There's fun for the whole family with a Goodgals Gallery, Model Car Show and free model make-and-take, plus a kids’ play area! Commemorate Kansas City's proud Celtic heritage with three days of music, dancing and exhibits. The festival will feature more than 30 locally and nationally known bands, playing traditional music and Celtic rock. There will also be a Mass on Sunday morning, food vendors, gift merchandise for sale, kids’ activities, contests and more. Hours 5-11 p.m. Fri.; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sat. Admission $10 at the gate, $8 in advance.

Steven Jarvi, the Symphony's Associate Conductor, will lead the FREE Labor Day weekend concert in Shawnee Mission Park. Bring your family and friends, blankets and lawn chairs for an evening of music under the stars. 7-9 p.m. Free Admission.

Sept. 4 through Oct. 17 weekends: The Kansas City Renaissance Festival offers a day like no other to eager visitors from across the Midwest. From Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road, “RAIN” follows the Fab Four from their earliest beginnings through the psychedelic late '60s and their long-haired hippie, rooftop-rocking days. A multimedia, multi-dimensional experience, “RAIN” fuses historical footage, memorable television commercials, 1960s highlights and live camera close-ups. All the Beatles music and vocals are performed totally live! Bring your family and friends and sing along to such favorites as "Let It Be," "Hey Jude," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Come Together," "Can't Buy Me Love" and more! 8 p.m. Ticket prices vary.
